Just Holding Hands...

Now that Leo and Gloria have opened for business as usual, we have something to say to all religions on the planet: "Stop misleading your followers with the word 'spiritual'. And the 'soul,' which means a person's spirit, doesn't belong to God – it belongs to the person! Stop pretending to know something that you don't!"

An example of someone who claims to talk to God and to receive answers back is President Bush. What a dangerous man – the leader of the free world houses one of Hitler's many spirits, and carries on the destructiveness of that maniac.

Now, the connections between the Nazis and the Bush family are becoming a little more public. Bush's grandfather, Prescott, was a war profiteer during the Second World War who financed the Nazi war machine. Bush's father was the Director of the CIA and went to war against Iraq in an effort to save his buddies in Saudi Arabia from possible invasion, thereby profiting from the Gulf War. Now Bush himself is tied to allegations of lying about the reason for the the Iraq War, prisoner abuse and torture, kidnapping of suspected terrorists, spying on Americans and others, murder of innocent Iraqi citizens and the list goes on to include profiting from the takeover of Iraqi oil.

This is the same thing that I heard during the war when the whole world was outraged at Hitler's actions. How long will it take Americans to get rid of this fake? Becoming a devout Christian was Bush's way to enter politics and win the presidency, with the help of his father and the CIA. Now he has blended the military with the CIA with the appointment of his military director. This is another step toward the militarization of the government.

Just as Hitler used fear to control his people, and how religions use fear of God to control their followers, Mr. Bush and his cronies are using fear to change the once-free spirit of Americans into paranoia. And now Canada has chosen for its Prime Minister a would-be copycat of President Bush. The first indication is that he's an evangelical fundamentalist like Bush, and that's enough for me to be concerned.

As Canadians, let's not allow this country to follow the same path on which Mr. Bush is leading Americans. One terrorist plot isn't enough to place Canadians on the same paranoid religious journey as the United States. We still believe in all our rights and freedoms – will we allow America to control our belief system...and our oil, too?
